Why Most Women Aren?t Into Sports

There are many reasons why women typically don?t like sports. It doesn?t matter if it?s NFL Football, NBA Basketball or ML Baseball, lots of women aren?t interested in these sports. The women who dislike these professional sports will of course tolerate them when their husbands and significant others are watching them. They may even ?watch? the sports with their mate, but many aren?t really paying attention. Naturally all people are different, including women, and there are some women out there who enjoy watching professional sports just as much as the men in their lives do.

There are some women who play sports: Basketball, baseball, and even football. There is an association called the NWFA (National Women?s Football Association). These women actually play football like the men in the NFL. Some women actually enjoy playing rough, contact sports, yet many women don?t. One of the reasons why many women dislike watching and/or playing football, is because women are usually conditioned to prefer quieter, less physical ways of recreation. While this may appear sexist, it?s simply a fact. Boys were the ones who played rough, and were taught not to show their emotions, etc. One reason for this may be because people long ago probably feel that women were too fragile to play such a forceful, potentially dangerous sport. Besides, the uniforms are so masculine?it?s just a masculine sport, period, in most people?s opinion.

Members of the NWFA are simply strong, opinionated women who don?t want to be treated like they are too weak or incapable of playing a certain sport simply because of their gender. Some of the women who play in the NWFA may actually enjoy the sport, but many of them are just trying to prove a point.

Another reason why women don?t usually enjoy sports is because they don?t understand the object of the game or have never learned how the game is played. Lots of women who understand the dynamics of a sport may actually enjoy watching and playing the sport, but no one would like something if they didn?t understand it.

Just like there are some things that most people feel are more geared toward men, there are some that are more geared toward women. Years ago, when men started to show an interest in becoming nurses, some would question their sexuality or ridicule him. This is totally ridiculous, though, because a person?s gender shouldn?t determine what a person should or should not do or enjoy, but unfortunately it does.
