The RedZone Debuts as San Diego's Newest Sports Bar in Downtown

San Diego (PRWEB) March 17, 2008 -- The RedZone (www.redzonesandiego.com), San Diego's newest sports bar and grill, will host its grand opening on Saturday, March 15. Located at 1100 Fifth Avenue, at C Street, in the Financial District and close to the Gaslamp, the sports-themed restaurant features two floors of seating, 19 HDTVs, excellent food and bar selections, and a customer-friendly wait staff.

"We understand that competition in the restaurant market is fierce, but we believe The RedZone brings something special to downtown," said owner Ed Masanes. "We've worked hard to create a casual ambience that sports fans will love, including a great menu, great drinks and great fun."

In addition to offering lunch, dinner and late-night favorites such as sandwiches, burgers, salads, pasta, and chicken and steak entrees -- all given clever sports-themed names -- The RedZone will be open for breakfast. Diners will have the chance to catch up on news from the sports world and beyond, watching ESPN and CNN, while enjoying morning favorites like egg dishes and pancakes.

Understanding that the wait staff can make or break diners' experiences, The RedZone used a careful screening process while hiring its team, to make sure that facilitating fun was high on applicants' lists of attributes. Customer service will be a differentiator at the sports bar, so much so that each table will feature a "goal light" that can be used to signal immediate needs.

The RedZone will be open all days of the week; happy hour will take place from 3-7 p.m. daily. Garage and street parking are readily available, and The RedZone is conveniently located near the C Street trolley station. Take-out service is available by calling 619-231-8888.

New York Yankees Sports Tickets
New York Yankees face depletion of their farm system because of various reasons trades, free agent acquisitions, the aging or departure of the players who had formed the core of the Yankees during the late 1990s and allegedly poor coaching. Buster Olney, in his book The Last Night of the New York Yankees Dynasty, argues that George Steinbrenner's management style resulted in the players burning out psychologically. Sportswriter Larry Mahnken has jokingly proposed his theory in the form of "Curse of Clay Bellinger" meaning the New York Yankees will never again win the World Series until either they make amends to utility player Clay Bellinger who left following the 2001 season or they win the championship anyway. Examining International Relations In The Realm Of Sports Through History
Although the precise origins of the connection between sports and international relations remain obscure, all cultures have participated over the course of history in different physical contests that fostered cultural exchange and contributed to their citizens' political discourse. The ancient Egyptians swam, raced, wrestled, and played games with balls. The ancient Greeks held large athletic festivals, including the Olympic Games that drew athletes' attention from all over the ancient world. Two of the very first 'nations' to engage their athletes in sport competitions, were the Greeks and the Romans. They competed in various athletic events like chariot races, or throwing the javelin, often relying on the participation of animals, or on t...
